Jungian Coaching is grounded in concepts and theories developed by the Swiss psychiatrist and thinker, Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961).
This is not traditional life coaching …
A Jungian approach to coaching honors the mythic and poetic dimensions of life.
Rooted in depth psychology
Acknowledging ambiguity & mystery
A Jungian approach to coaching brings together what is known and unknown. The practice is rooted in the field of depth psychology (scientific study of unconscious mental processes), while embracing the essential mysteries of our existence.
What happens when the soul is allowed to lead?
Becoming your true self
Jungian Coaching is distinct from traditional coaching and other forms of “life” coaching. Our focus is not on solving problems. Rather, the emphasis we choose is on individuation - a process of self-realization and becoming one's true self. From this approach, we see life’s challenges as opportunities for recognizing the deeper callings of the psyche.
What, then, is your soul trying to tell you? We will explore the soul’s desires and longings through its unique language - particularly via dreams, imagery, associations, shadow work, and the imagination.
My Approach
Personalized
Coaching is about connecting you to your personal sense of meaning and purpose. We’ll be exploring and identifying what makes you feel whole.
Empowering
Utlimately, our work together is a short-term partnership. With that in mind, I’ll be providing you with tools you can use to tend to the individuation process beyond our coaching sessions.
Exploratory
We begin with an openness to discovery. As we tend to the soul’s wishes, I’ll facilitate the process of looking at what else may be present that the ego/conscious mind is not yet seeing, and we’ll explore how your unconscious is communicating with you.
Authentic
I believe it’s not possible to coach an orientation to living that I don’t genuinely take on myself! Check out my weekly blog for perspectives on how I, like you, am trying to follow the longings of my own soul.
